1. ANDREW¹ GODSEY was born 1806 in Tenn, and died 1863 in Pickett County, TN.. He married ELIZABETH SELLS Abt. 1836, daughter of DAVID SELLS and MARY WHISENAND. She was born February 15, 1818 in Sullivan Co., Tenn, and died August 18, 1890 in Moffitt Cemetery, Hutton Valley Twp., Howell Co., Mo.

(1) Source: Sheri Plum, 1214 Bellaire, NE 68005-3607; and 1850, 1860, 1870 ,1880 Overton County, TN census. Elizabeth is alone with children for the 1870 census. Gary R. Qualls, PO Box 231, Jamestown, TN 38556, July 1997, reported his name as David Andrew Godsey, and from Sullivan County, TN (7/97).
