| Burt Jules Masnick 8 Spruce Court Huntington,NY 11743-4155 516-271-3943 | We (Sandy and Burt) are avid amateur genealogists.We are interested in the following families - Masnick-Meshnick-Messnick,Schmukler, Reiner, Korn, Antanir,Brownstein, Finkelstein and Blitz.We know that Israel Meshnick, son of Nachum Meshnick came to the US in 1889.Molly, his wife whose maiden name we still dont know, came in 1891, at least according to the 1900 US Census.Living with them was Jacob Meshnick, whose father was Shlomo.There is strong evidence that Shlomo was a brother of Israel. Jacob came to the states in 1899.A third son of Nachum and brother of Israel and Shlomo was Abraham. One of our trees shows this whole relationship and the family tree.On Sandy's side, her parents are Sidney Schmukler and Rose Antanir.We have an extensive Schmukler family tree that needs considerably more research and we have relatively little on the Ananirs.Meshnicks came from Zolocev and Zborov Schmuklers came from CiesenowFinkelstein and Blitz came from Kamenetz-PodulskAntanir came from OstrapolWe are more than willing to share our information and welcome anyone to get in touch with us who can provide more information on any of the families we are documenting. |
