Capt. Pleasant G. Swor, son of John and Mary (Copeland)Swor. Fought in Co. E, 5th Tennessee
Infantry.
An officer's report dated April 17. 1862 stated that Captain Swor was slightly wounded in action on April 7th, near Shiloh, Tennessee. It is noted that he distinguished himself for bravery "gallantly leading a charge on the enemy's pickets at Corinth."
