Couple Marks 50th Wedding Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur T. Lennon, 119 1/2 W. Thomas St., are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today with a small reception at their home.
Mr. Lennon and the former Reba C. Hotaling, Whitesboro, were married on May 9, 1906 by the Rev. Walter A Doyle in St Paul's Church, Whitesboro.
Mr. Lennon was formerly deputy sheriff of Oneida County and overseer of the Hind-Harrison Plush Co., Clark Mills, for 23 years. He recently retired from Revere's Rome Manufacturing Co. Division where he was head inspector for 14 years and chairman of the board for the MESA-CIO local. He was active on the Red Cross and Bond drives during World War II.
Mrs. Lennon was active in the USO during World War II.
The couple has two daughters, Mrs. Gordon H. Newman and Mrs. George E. Mullin, both of Rome, and five grandchildren. A son, Arthur T. Lennon Jr. died in 1926.
