My research into my family heritage began with my desire to uncover my Native American ancestry. I spent an entire summer completely absorbed with tracing my Cherokee roots. It was a wonderful experience. Through the internet I became acquainted with over a dozen distant and not so distant cousins and found more information than I ever believed possible. Not only did I achieve my goal of finding my Cherokee roots, but I also found an incredible amount of information on other parts of my heritage. Everything below is the result of my summer research and any research I have managed to do in the past few years. It consists of the maternal side of my family mostly. In the near future I hope to gain as much information on my paternal side as I have on the maternal. |
