William Tuten (b. Bet. 1780 - 1790, d. Bef. 1840)
Notes for William Tuten:
There is only speculation as to whether William Tuten is a son of William Tuten and Jemina or Mary.He is included here as a son until such time that evidence to the contrary is found. The basis for his inclusion as a son is the existence of a grave marker in Hampton County, South Carolina indicating that he was born in the 1780s, the location of which strongly suggests a possible tie to William & Jemina or Mary.
Additionally, a William Tuten has been found listed in the 1810 St Peters District, South Carolina, Census (age 26 to 45) along with another William in the 1810 Barnwell District, presumed to be the William and Jemina couple, or this William's parents, aged 45+.His suspected age is supported and having also listed a female in the age range of Rachel is even more supportive.
