The Matz/Haas family of ND, Griffin/Young family of MIUpdated September 5, 2000 | |
| I'm looking for information on the following people: 1. Frank Matz-married Mary Haas, North Dakota, they are believed to be immigrants from Germany, possibly Russia or Hungary. They had four children, Anton Peter Matz-married Mary T Blasy(my grandparents-paternal), Frank Matz, Katherine Matz, and Mary Matz. Anton & his wife moved to Michigan in 1951. 2.Mary T Blasy's parents-Martin Blasy-married Katherine Martin-North Dakota, also believed to be immigrants from Hungary. 3. George Griffin-married Elizabeth Glass( my gg grandparents-maternal),not sure where they orignated from, Elizabeth is believed to Indian, don't know what tribe. Only child that I know they had was William H(Henry?)Griffin born in Michigan in 1892 and died in 1977. William married Pearl Hampshire, she died birthing thier seventh child in 1933, child died also. William went on the have two more children, one died in infantcy. 4. Roy James Young-married Cynthia(don't know maiden name), from Michigan. Roy J was born in 1890 and died in 1961, Cynthia was born in 1893 and died in 1975. They had four children: Raymond Arthur Young-married Donna Griffin-my grandparents Delihla Young-married Jimmy Krontz Dea Young-married Virgina(don't know maiden name) John Allen Young-died in 1946 of a wound received in WWII. Just 2 months shy of his 19th birthday. Any information on any of the above name people, will be helpful, and greatly appreciated. Thank you |
