Mattock and Tadd Family Home Page

We are researching various branches of both mine and my wife's family:on my side I am researching families with the names Mattock, (Wales, Somerset, UK), Ungley, (Great Britain), and Goody (Great Britain).My wife is researching the surnames Tadd (Wiltshire, the West of England, and Australia),Angell (Wiltshire, the West of England), Redstone (Devon and the West of England) and Smale (Devon and the West of England). She is researching her father's family - his name being Harry Frederick George Tadd, born in 1912, whose father was also Harry Tadd, and whose mother's surname was Woodruff (?Woodrough). Both he and his father were regular soldiers in the Somerset Light Infantry.
We have scanty histories back to the sixteenth century for Goody and Redstone, but would welcome more information. We have very little information other than this century for the other surnames.
