I am looking for information on the Thomas' Pratts' Williams'Parsons &Archibalds Harvey Benjamin Thomas was Born in Downing MO 1882 -85.His fathers name was Benjamin Sr.who lived in Queens City & Schuyler County. He had a brother named Ellis from Schuyler who passed in the flu epidemic of WWI. He had a brother named Earl who lived in Kewanee Il in 1905. He had a cousin Wiliam Iford also of MO, And a Virgil K, Moberly MO was related I believe, I don't know how. See photos. Harvey served in the army in WWI era, and in 1910 was based in Newberg OR.or Vancouver WA I understand he had people from England in his background& perhaps had native american blood. He had 3 children and 4 grandchildren. He was a Mason. He was always a barber & owned the building his shop was in. He was US Army from about 1905 - 1936. Harry Benjamin Thomas was born to Harvey & Alice Lucille Pratt Thomas in Newberg OR in 1910, he lived in Leavenworth, Elmwood & Chicago area.Married Donna Strieter of LaPorte IN. They had two daughters. He was a Mason. Harry returned to OR in the 60's & passed there in 1986. See photos. His sister was Adeline, born in Leavenworth KS in 1912 who married Roy Palmer, & passed in Blue Eye MO in 1988. Their mother was born Alice Lucille Pratt, in Richomond MO, Ray County in 1892.Grew up in Kansas City Kansas & also lived in Leavenworth KS. In 1914 married George Washington Archibald & resided in Brimfield & Elmwood IL & passed in 1988. Bill was the son of Alice & George W. Archibald. Alice was a practical nurse all her life (Haven, Elmhaven) & a member of the American Legion branch. Bill & his wife were active with the Legion. (G. Archibald was born to Thomas A Archibald & Ann S Kalb on Oct. 15, 1861 in Eugene, IL.passed in 1954) Harvey Thomas & second wife, Laurie Price (Thomas) Boyett, (met probably 1912 in CA or TX or KS or OR) I believe they both went to the Phillipines. Later had a son, Charles Harold Thomas in TX in 1917 perhaps Houston. probably an army base. When 13 years old Charles went to Fresno CA where he lived & worked for the city till he passed in 1993. He married Beatrice, whom I believe was born in Ohio. They lived in a trailer park in 1973. They are buried with Laurie Price in Clovis, CA., no children. Harvey married a 3rd. wife, Edna and passed on in the late 40's, in Arlington VA. I believe Edna died in Arlington in the 60's. Alice's father was John Thomas Pratt, an attorney. I understand he was murdered, or may have died falling down the stairs. Her mother was Eliza Parsons. I understand she was murdered by a Singer sewing machine salesman very early in Alices' life. Alice, & I think 4 sisters & 1 brother were raised by John & a stepmother, in Kansas City Kansas. One or both of Alices' parents were of native american heritage. I believe the Parsons & Pratts came to MO from PA, but not sure. A sister was Ethel G Parsons who married Edward L Williams and lived in Leavenworth. KS in 1915 census & (1958 directory..710 Pawnee). they had a boy, Ed, jr. 2 yrs. in 1915. In 1925 Bernard, 9, Loring, 6, & Rita,4. Ed Sr. was a machinist in a furniture factory at that time. see photo page I would appreciate receiving any information. contact: rafiamat@hotmail.com re: Archibalds: gervlr@mtco.com
