I, Uriah Matson of the County of Indiana weak in body but of perfect mind, do make and ordain
this my last will & testament. -and having such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to
bless me in this life, I give devise & dispose of the same in manner following. That is to say in
the first place I will & allow that all my just debts and funeral expenses~ be discharged. In the
second place I will & allow to Isabella my wife one black mare, one brindled cow, one feather
bed & bedding, three sheep and also a sufficient living off the mentioned place during her
natural life, and also that the above mentioned stock be Supported off the same-In the next place
I will & allow to my Son Isaac all my real estate and personal property generally other than that
already mentioned to be his forever In the next place I will & allow to my son Robert one horse
creature worth fifty dollars at any time when he may demand the same. In the next place I will
& allow to my daughter Rebecka one horse creature worth fifty dollars in three years from my
decease, In the next place I will & allow to my other ~children (viz.) Mary Smith , John Matson,
Susan Knapp, Isabella George, Margory Rea, one dollar each, to be paid in two years from my
demise; the payment of all debts & the above mentioned legatee to be by & at the sole costs &
expense of my son Isaac. and in the last place I make and ordain John Patison & John Robison~
my only and sole executors of this my last will and ~testament, ratifying & confirming this & no
other to be my last will & testament. - In testimony whereof I have herewith set my hand and
seal this twenty third day of February, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and
