February Term 1841
I Isaac Matson of the county of Jefferson Eldred Township in the State of Pennsylvania, do publish this my last will and testiment, Hereby revoking and maiking void all fromer wills by me at any time made. And first I direct that my body be decently interred in the burial ground at Brookville and that my funeral be conducted in a manner
as responding with my estate and situation in life. And as to such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to intrust me with. I direct that all of my debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as possible out of the first monies that shall come into the hands of my heirs from any portion of my estate, Real or personal. I do will and bequeath to my affectionate wife Margaret one cow and ( ) sheep bed and bedding and as much kitchen furniture as she my need and the use of a horse to ride at all times ( ) the House. Leave for her use and the use of my familyduring her natural life and to my son Joseph Matson I do will and bequeath the one half of all my real estate with all of the improvements thereon and my son Robert Matson I do will and bequeath the other half of my Estate with the improvements thereon and that the same be equally divided between these my two sons according to quantity and quality and further I do allow that Joseph and Robert Matson to give Each of my daughters at the time of their marriage or seperation from the family after they be of full age then I do allow them to receive one cow one bed and bedding one Womans saddle Each from the above named my sons which I allow to inheret my real Estate with exceptions of my daughter Rebecca which I do leave unto her only one dollar if she dont come home and live with the family but she do come home and live with the family and be under the same subjection to her mother as her sisters if so she do I allow her to receive from my Estate the same as mentioned to eacha nd everyone of my daughters. I further do allow my wife Margaret to have Authority of my house and the use thereof during her natural life for and all my daughters as long as they remain single and no longer and as long as my daughters or any of them remain single they are at liberty to live with their mother my wife and to receive a sufficient support from the benefit arising from my Estate sufficient for as many as may remain with Margaret my wife. In witness whereof I Isaac Matson theTestator have to this my will written on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal the eleventh day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty.
