He married Eunice Reamer November 11, 1815 in New Salem, New York. She was born May 29, 1798 in New Salem, New York, and died October 15, 1865 in New Salem, New York.

      The "Mattice Family History: 1709-1961," by Rex G. Mattice, shows Frederick Mattice's birthplace as both New Scotland, Albany County, New York and New Salem, New York. Neither currently exist, and no record can be found of them in the past; nor can Bethleham, New York be found. He is buried Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

      "Mattice Family History: 1709-1961," by Rex G. Mattice gives the birthplace of John Mathias as New Scotland, New York on page 571 and New Salem, New York on page 576. Neither town can be found, although it appears that there was once a town in Albany County named New Scotland.

Mrs. Greathouse lists 3 children that the Bible doesn't list: Butler, Ruthie, and Anna. These names appear to be the names that Charles Freemyer (1931-1915) gave to the historian of Worth County, as his father's brothers and sisters.
