Mattice, Edson Mattice learned the miller trade at Batavia, got some experience in Buffalo, and became superintendant and director of the Stratton & Company Flour Millers at Penacook, New York. He was Town Auditor at Boscawen, and Supervisor of that town for many years. For 24 years he was a member of the School Board, a Past Master of The Horace Chase Lodge of Masons and a Past Noble Grand of Contoocock Lodge of Odd Fellows.
