I am currently searching for information about my great-grandfather, James T. Mitchell. He was born in Alabama and served in the Alabama Calvary C.S.A. He later moved to Texas and married Sarah Josephine Sumners. He may also have lived in Oklahoma at some time. His father was born in Tennessee. James had three sons: Clifford, Lesley, and Venetor; and two daughters: Viola and Itusa. Viola and Itusa married two brothers, Frank and George Little. I am attempting to trace our family back to Scotland. It was either my great-great grandfather or his father who immigrated from Scotland.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to all of this, but am finding it very exciting!
