| I have just recently began a search of my family roots. My great grandfather was Thompson Mathis, brother of Johnson Mathis and son of Forrester Mathis. I believe that Forrester Mathis came to Wayne County, West Virginia from one of the western counties of Virginia, probably in the early 1800's. Any infor- mation about this family will be greatly appreciated. |
