GREETINGS! Welcome to the Mattheis Family Home Page. Although it has my surname on it (cause its mine) it is currently devoted mostly to my Mother's Maternal Lines; HENSON, LEMASTER, OSBURN, and PERDUE. You will also find a lot of info on families associated with these such as BELCHER, BLEVINS, CAUDILL, CASTLEMAN, DOSS, GULLET, HAMPTON, LEWIS, NAPIER, POTTS, PAINTER, SALYER, TACKETT, et al (if you have KY roots these will sound familiar).My current research is devoted to extending the info I have on these lines, and to finding out more about my Mother's paternal roots. These lines are LYONS, LITTLE/LYTTLE, and JONES.The families cited above are found mostly in CT, NY, PA, MD, DE, VA, NC, SC and later in OH, IN, WVA, TN, KY, AR, OK and TX. During the depression and WWII, the Perdues and relatives migrate to WA, OR and CA.I am most happy to share my data with anyone interested, and would appreciate any info you may have on the LYONS and associated families in AR, OK, TX and KY.   This is a photo of my father, William H. Mattheis, when he was about 21 years old. He was drafted into the Army toward the end of WWII, went through Artillery advanced training at Ft. Sill, OK. He served in Korea until released from active duty in 1946 after my birth.
