Mavrovitis - Zissis

Until my retirement my name was Jason C. Mavis. In 2000 I embraced my family name, Mavrovitis, which originated in the village of Mavrohorion, Prefecture of Kastoria, in Macedonia, Greece.

My maternal side originates in Sozopolis (Sozopol), Bulgaria.

I would like to be contacted by descendants of Greeks from Anchialos (Pomorie), Pirgos (Burgas) and Sozopolis (Sozopol), Bulgaria, especially if they have oral histories about the events in these cities between 1885 and 1912.
