The Haggarts came from Scotland and lived around Johnstown and Gloversville New York mainly farmers.
Daniel Haggart of Johnstown in the County of Montgomery and State of New York made his will which was filed May 3rd 1805.
Daniel had a wife Catherine Haggart a son Daniel, a daughter Elizabeth who married Alexander Hay, a son John and a son Gilbert.
At this time a direct connection is not made but it is believed Daniel son of Daniel had a son Daniel who married Caroline Mead they had a son Darius Case Haggart who married Helen Keiser and had a son Burton Riley. Burton married Isabelle Haegert and they had a son Wayne Lewis Haggart. Wayne Lewis married Alberta Kimball and they had a son Richard Orville Haggart.
Richard Orville married Kathleen Muriel Clarke who had a daughter Sherry Lee Haggart. Sherry married and had three children she later married me Vaughan H Mavir

Daniel Haggart came to USA late 1700's the family were mainly in the Johnstown or Gloversville area of New York. From there branches spread out to Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Idaho,North Dakota just to mention a few. During my research I have aquired numerous photographs of the family and lots of information. My database of over 5000 Haggarts not only includes direct families but others I have come across which may be helpful to others. I am in the process of putting together a document of our family line.
