The Edward Maxey descendants on this page come from my research, from Family Tree Maker CD submissions, Genforum postings, Ancestry.com files, but mostly from information taken from "The Maxeys of Virginia" by Edythe Maxey Clark. Her work is extensive and exhaustive. Clark's book, however, gives rich details about movements, wills, military, and much daily life history. Please refer to it.

Credit for this research goes to the hundreds of people who are referenced in my sources (especially to Clark). I have only linked their works together into one big file. Wherever genealogists have disagreed on a date or place or even a name, I've kept all versions. If you ask me to send you copies of your family line, you'll be able to know of these duplications. You'll have to figure out which is the correct one or verify the researchers sources.
