The names in my family tree are mainly Irish: McGuire/Maguire of County Down, Quinn of County Wicklow, Ireland and McGurk, McDade and Farren. Maguires and McDade emigrated to Lanark, Scotland and then to America.
Garr which originates in with Peter Garr in Durham, England.
And German: Gerhardt, originally from Lippehn, Kreis Soldin, Brandenburg, Prussia (now part of Poland - Lipiany) coming to the US in 1854. Guerke - no information
The names in my husband's family are Scotch, German and German Russian: Maxwell, Hatzenbeler & Geiger both originating in the Volga Valley of Russia, and Botz.
