The Schlosbergs

At a time when ever fewer Jewish families still reside in the village & small towns of South Africa, the Bronkhorstspruit Town Council has honoured the Schlosberg family, which together with one Afrikaans family (Erasmus) were the first white settlers there.

A new park in the town has been establised in their name Israel Schlosberg, took his family in two giant Russian Wagons from Ponevez to Odessa to settle in Turkish Palestine in 1880.
