The Will May Family Home Page

This May family traces it's roots from the Cornwall area of England, spcifically around Tintagel, through Canada to Pennsylvania. We are confident of Will May born Oct 14, 1838 in Trevana, Tintagel, Rockhead. His wife was Catherine Deacon, born in Michaelstow in 1838. It is likely his father was Anthony who was born around 1823 and who married Mary Jane (or Mary Ann) Smith. We are looking for links back from this and need confirmation that Anthony was the father of this wing of the family.
The Will we know was William Henry May born Oct 25, 1860 in Rockhead, St. Teeth. He married Susannah McNeil Oct 1885 in Sherbrook, Quebec. Susannah's father was John McNeil who was born in Glasgow, Scotland who was married to Mary Jane Bigham. Mary Jane was likely born in Vermont. We are working on the May family but have interest in the Deacon and McNeil families as well.
