We are searching for Mayberry, Mays, Inman, Ford, Anderson, Stewart, Steward, from Middle Tennessee, and for Frost, Bridger, Hayes, Siler, from West Tennessee. Also looking for ancestors for Mays family in Kentucky, Georgia, and possibly Alabama. All families moved to Tennessee from other states. The Mayberry family arrived in TN in early 1800's about 1805 and settled in Middle TN in what is now Hickman County. The Mays family followed the saw-mill industry from Kentucky across Tennessee into Georgia and back again in the late 1800's and early 1900's from Cheatham County (TN) into Hickman County (TN)around 1908. The Frost family came from North Carolina originally. They moved west into West Tennessee - Dyer County down into Mississippi and back into West TN in mid-1800's.I would be glad to share information and would like to expand my family tree. |
