The Townley / Sumner / Mayer Family Genealogy Project

I inherited the Genealogy thirst from my maternal grandfather, (a TOWNLEY). To balance a lopsided tree, I searched and uncovered an equally interesting history of my father's acestors, (the SUMNER family).

Having married a MAYER -- with no known genealogical history -- my path is clear. I must once more balance the tree for my children and grandchildren.

These families lived primarily in the midwestern states of Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas with some North Carolina beginnings and a few "side trips" to Arkansas, Kentucky and Colorado. If your research encounters possible connections, I would be happy to share information.

My children, through marriage have added the Minnesota STRESEMANN, Kansas AUGUSTINE and Illinois and Missouri MAJESTY families to our family. I would also enjoy researching these lines.
