The May Family of Mississippi

This May Family homepage is dedcated to my Aunt, Mrs. Freida May-O'Quinn who is the one who did the majority of the research with the pre-1990 research. I have verified as much of this information as possible. If you find information that needs to be corrected or added to, please email me.

This family tree contains mostly May, Cotten, Forschler, Sanders, and Barron names. There are 15 generations and over 300 surnames.

From what I have been able to piece together is that the May Clan originally migrated from Georgia in the early 1800's and settled in the State of Mississippi in the counties of Pike, Amite, and Lawrence.

I hope that this information may assist you in your search for your ancestors and I hope that you can help me with information that I am missing.
