James MAYO, born in North Carolina around 1803. He married Elizabeth (last name unknow)They had the following children in Pitt County, North Carolina;
Napolean, b 1829,Penelope b. 1830, Albert b. 1832, Sarah b. 1834, Henry b. 1836, Lucien b. 1840. Around 1841 they moved to Tipton County, TN and had one other child, Laura was
born 1842.

Lucien MAYO married Mary Ann PARTLOW in 1866 (?)
