| Abner Mays born in South Carolina in 1832, family lore has it came to texas in 1865. my first find on him is 1880 in wood county texas. I would like any info anyone has on him. In 1832 their was a abner mays, son of abney mays that was born in South Carolina. but, he was not my +g grandfather. In 1830-1840 there was alot of records on files that people doing research, used as if it was one person. I hope to have this site up and going by April 2006. and hope you will check back with any help. The Abner Mays that was Abney Mays' son was in mississippi with his family in 1850 and 1860 and served the cause of the war with his brother jesse with the 40th inf company k and and they were there when it was over in 1865. |
