William R. Hidle (son of John Hidle and Mary Blakely) was born Abt. 1812 in Abbeville District, South Carolina, and died August 08, 1861 in Orange County Courthouse, Virginia. He married Anna Maria.
Notes for William R. Hidle: Affidavit of Ann Marie Hidle, widow of William R. Hidle. State of Georgia. County of Floyd: Before me, Charles H. Smith, a Notary Public in and for said county, personally came Ann Mariah Hidle, who being duly sworn, says she is the widow of William R. Hidle, deceased, late a Private in Company H, 8th Regiment of the Georgia volunteers. She further declares that her said husband was mortally wounded on 21st July 1861 at Manassas, VA and died the 8th of August 1861, and left deponent as widow. He died at Orange Court House. He was born in Abbeville District, SC. Ann Mariah x(her mark) Hidle Sworn and subscribed to before me this 24th day of November 1862. C. H. Smith, Notary Public
