| Hi, My name is Paula L. Rhodes May and I've been researching my family history for about 20yrs. but mainly in the last 8-10yrs. I really enjoy doing this. Some of the names I am currently researching is the following. My mom's side includes: Cole, Curtis, Gappin, Ross, Coleman, Gibbs, Rider, West, Moffitt and a few more I don't remember right now. On my dad's side is: Rhodes, Poston, Fillyaw, Barbee, Hunt. We are having a family reunion on my mom's side in McCaysville, GA on May 15th, 1999 @ Horseshoe Bend Park. This is called "The Gordon and Lurie Cole Family Reunion" This will be our 3rd annual one, and I'm sooo.....excited!!!! My mom's people are from Fannin Co, GA and the surrounding areas. Including N.C. and S.C. My dad's people are from Moultrie, Bainbridge, GA and Florida. My husband's dad's people are from Moultrie also. I would like to know more about that side of the family. His mother's people are from Forsyth Co., GA around Pendergrass and Gainsville. His granny and ggrandparents and some aunts, great uncles are buried in Decatur at Westview Cemetary. His ggrandmothers name was Nancy Louise Baird and His ggrandfathers name was Ira Austin Shaw. Some of his surnames are: Baird, Shaw, Hardy, and May. Any help would be appreciated for his line. |
