The Peter V. May (surname) family is relatively short in that I am the only son of an only son of an only son of an immigrant from Germany. I do know that my grandfather, Winston Lewis May of New York, NY, had four sisters and was married to Gertrude Dobecky of New York, NY. On my mother's side, however, I can go all the way back to 1639 and track both her parent's surnames, Harve Badgerow and Caroline Van Buren.
