| Researching, MAPHIS, MUNROE, BALLENGER and SHETTER families. The descendants of the Maphis family began with GEORGE MAVIS of 1738-1795 of Shenandoah County, Virginia. He married (unknown) and had 7 children. The MUNROE family has not been researched very far. Begins with CHARLES ALBERT MUNROE of Baltimore, MD 1870-1911 and HANNAH JOHNSON WARE 1867-1953. The BALLENGER FAMILY is of VA and WV. Moved around quite a lot, unable to locate. THOMAS WILLIAM BALLENGER 1846, died 1929 in Staunton, Augusta County, VA married FANNIE DeBUTTS. The SHETTER family is of VA and possible Clearfield County, PA. PA not verified. Would appreciate any information or copies of your family tree to merge into a planned format tree. |
