I am researching the MAYO surname. I have traced my family name back to Valentine Mayo b. 1686 in Middlesex,Va and married Ann Jordan-Burk on November 14, 1710 at Christchurch Middlesex Va. The Mayo's spread out to many areas including the Florida Panhandle. I am also doing research on the surnames of BRANDON, SHANKS, ROGERS/RODGERS, RHINEHART/RINEHART from East Tennessee. John Brandon left the Kingsport area and moved to Mississippi and then to Florida. John Brandon founded the town of BRANDON near Tampa in the mid 1800's. Any information on the decendants of these surnames or their relatives would be appreciated. I will share any information that I have.
