Richard was the under-keeper for Sir John Byron, father of the 1st Lord Byron made its home on the Manor of Papplewich, in Nottinghamshire, England. He was also the gamekeeper in Sherwood Forest in the early 1600's Papplewich, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire. His sons migrated to Ireland in the 1640's.
