Hanna McArthey (daughter of Charles McCarthy and Sarah McNally) was born Abt. 1849 in Rhode Island, and died Bef. 1927 in Manitowoc, WI. She married Tom Fitzgerald on Abt. 1867.
Notes for Hanna McArthey: Hanna was probably named after her maternal grandmother. Sometime around 1867, she married Tom Fitzgerald. In 1880, they were farming in Kussuth and had three children: two girls, Mary and Anne, and a son, Daniel. Tom's uncle, Owen Stafford, who was over seventy years old, was also living with them. They later had another boy, Thomas Eugene, and moved to Manitowoc where Tom ran a successful saloon.
It is interesting to not that Tom's older sister, Catherine, had previously married Daniel Sullivan, and their daughter, Mary Ellen, later married Edward McArthey, Hanna's younger brother.
On June 27, 1894, Tom drowned along with his son Thomas Eugene. The elder Tom was 48 years old at the time.
The other son, Daniel, survived having his appendix removed on the kitchen table of his aunt Charlotte and went on to be a successful restaurant operator.
