My Great grandfather, James A. McAllister, was born in Marietta, OH (Wash. Co.)in February 1838. His Father was David and Mother Hannah Cramer. James married Mary Noffsinger, and had several children, then married Mary Hannah Carroll (in Illinois), my great grandmother. Both are buried in Crown Hill Cem. in Indianapolis. James was a civil war vet. and is buried in the military section. Mary is thought to be a direct decendant of Charles Carroll of Carrollton who signed the Dec. of Indep. I've gone as far as I can. Any help would be appreciated. |
