The Richard L. McAllister Home Page

My Great grandfather, James A. McAllister, was born in Marietta, OH (Wash. Co.)in February 1838. His Father was David and Mother Hannah Cramer. James married Mary Noffsinger, and had several children, then married Mary Hannah Carroll (in Illinois), my great grandmother. Both are buried in Crown Hill Cem. in Indianapolis. James was a civil war vet. and is buried in the military section. Beyond James, I can trace my family back to the first McAllister (of any spelling) to arrive in America in 1718. His name was Angus McAllister, born in the Unster region of Ireland, but of Scotish descent.
