Notes for JOHN HENRY COLE:
According to Mary Lou Lloyd, he died in Hickman Co, Ky (near the Tenn. line) and his will was written in April 13, 1835.

According to Otho M. Cole [1868-1957], our immigrant ancestor was named William and was an "early" English settler of Virginia. The family then spread into the Carolinas, KY, and TN. Our line moved on to MO, KS, & OK after the Civil War, and we lost touch with the other branches of the family.
