He was 3-4 years old when his father moved the family to Forsyth Co., GA, where he grew up and lived his life. He was a farmer.

They were living in Cummings, GA, where he was a farmer, in 1870. It is said he died while on a visit to Chattanooga, TN. He was buried at the Zion Hill Cemetery.

One source say DoD was 29 Nov 1914. (date on tombstone)

Military Service: Co. C, 36th Reg't. Enlisted 1862. Applied for a pension on 6 Aug 1913

He was listed in the 1870 Census, Forsyth Co., p 34, dwelling 292, family 260; 1880 Forsyth Hightower sect.
