• Quakers in Bush River area of South Carolina (88 KB)
  This is a rekey of a document I found some years ago relating to the Quakers in the South Carolina Backcountry Wateree and Bush River, Compiled by William Heiss. There is mention to several of the Quaker families that migrated from Chester Co., PA to Frederick Co., VA, and then the Bush River area.
• History of the Pettigrew Family (45 KB)
  This is a rekey of some pages that were mailed to me some years ago. I am unsure as to the accuracy of all of the information - although large quantities of it have been sourced from outside documentation. An interesting read if nothing else.
• The Hillhouse Family (120 KB)
  This is an excellent document that was compiled by descendants of the South Carolina branch of the Hillhouse family. Interestingly - this family is also related to the Pettigrew family!
• Memories of Slavery (125 KB)
  This is a collection of slave anthologies that I came across several years ago and transcribed. They are all of Mississippi slaves. Excellent reading as well as some great hidden genealogical data regarding both slave and slave-owner families.
• Theories re the Parentage of Reuben Barrett (22 KB)
  This is an evolving document that I use to take notes regarding how my search for the parents of my Reuben Barrett b. about 1755 is going. Purely speculative - don't take it as gospel!
