The McLaughlin family tree - (Beaton family included)

Updated November 18, 2007

Hi,

I have been looking into my dad's family tree for a while now and have managed to trace his mothers side of the family "BEATON" back to 1740 ish. The family lived in Cumbernauld around 1900 -1950. There ancestors came from Bonhill, Dunbarton and there's Paisley, Renfrewshire.
At the moment I am still working on a possiblity that the family originated in the Isle of Skye - but this is still under investigation.

The surnames I have details for are McLAUGHLIN, BEATON, COUTTS, MILLIGAN, BURNETT, MUIRHEAD, GIBSON, CRAIG, BARR, McINTOSH, MUNN, LYNCH, SINCLAIR, NAESMITH.... to name a few.

Most of my information comes from Marriage certificates and census info...

If anyone recognises these names and has some information please do not hesitate to contact me..

Thanks

Caroline.
