I am researching the family tree of my mother, hopefully all the way back to Ireland. Surnames I'm looking for are Turner, Overstreet, Irick and Curtis. Charles Curtis, V.P. under Herbert Hoover was my great grandmother's uncle. Her name was Emma Ardell Overstreet Turner. I'm trying to find Emma Overstreet's parents names. Also the names and pertinent dates of Charles Curtis' parents. I would like to discover the real name of Emma's husband. I was told that his real name ended in Stein or Berg, but he changed his name one day in order to get picked for work. Charles Curtis and Emma Overstreet are descendants of Kaw Indians. I would love to find some relatives there. I am just getting started with my research and any leads would be appreciated. I will be happy to share any information I have with others. |
