* The Sam McBride (Alberta) Family Home Page*

Updated September 9, 2004

I am researching the Richard McBride family that came to London, Ontario from County Down in 1831 and the Walter Dewdney family that came from Devonshire in circa 1865. Other branches I am researching include the William Leigh (born in Worcestershire in 1815) family that came to Victoria, B.C. from London in 1851; the John Hamilton Gray family that came to Prince Edward Island in the 1700s; Elizabeth Webster who was born in Ayton, Yorkshire in 1821; the famous shipowner Samuel Cunard of Nova Scotia.I am writing a book on Edgar Dewdney, born 1835 in Devon and died 1916 Victoria, B.C. I would appreciate any information anyone may have on these lines.
