The WAREN family settled in Wilcox County, AL in the 1850s and married into the ROBERTS family, the HARDY family and the DAILEY/ BURSON/ MCMURPHY families. The GAINES family settled in north Monroe county, AL and married into the KIMBERL (Kimbel) family, the SHOMO/WEATHERFORD, the FELTS, WILKERSON, STEWART, and RAY families. My husband is descended from the infamous MCCOY family of Pike County, KY. Some of the other surnames in his family include the ESTEPs, LAMBERTs, and Birchfields.
