Alaska Adventure
Herman Tenter (son of John D. Tenter) went to Alaska in 1917 with a brother and brother-in-law to look for gold. When that didn't pan out, Herman ran the mail for the US Postal Service from Fairbanks to Circle City. Gramps called this residence his "squaw hut" but didn't explain the meaning since I was young of age.
