Said that they maybe were not citizens of this country. Her fat her was a farmer. and that one of her parents were full blooded Indian (tribe unknown). Source: Family Member Betty Lou Lucas wife of Robert Henry Lucas Jr. As told to Betty, Anna had bad legs very swollen legs could not go up the stairs, she slep t down stairs. Robert lived with Grandma Anna and her second husband John LaFave. Robert and Grandpa slept upstairs. When Granma died, Grandpa was grieving very badly. He would cry so hard when peeling the potatoes for their dinner, the tears would fall into the potatoes. He would say I miss Grandma so much I wish I could go where is is. They loved each other very much.

Source Betty Lou Lucas wife of "Bob" Lucas: bob remembered living with Grandma LaFave and Grandpa. Queenie was the Collie dog on the farm. We all visited the farm on the Reunion trip in 1959 Farm house was tall box shape, 1 room upstairs. and a Barn with a fence all grown over. Dirt roads led to the dirt road to find the house. Services Tuesday Mor Mrs. LeFave Oconto County Reporter June 20, 1940
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock for Mrs. Annie LeFave,71, who passed away at her home in the town of Stiles after a four day illness. Services were conducted from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel George, on Congress St. in Oconto. Rev. Homer Johnson officiated and burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery. The Gallagher Funeral home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
The deceased was born Miss Annie Tappa in Canada May 10, 1869 and came to the town of Stiles at the age of four. She lived in Stiles from that time until her death. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors Association of Lena.
Survivors are her husband, John LeFave, two daughter, Mrs. A. J. Johnston, Iron Mountain, Mich., Mrs. Mabel George, Oconto; three sons, James Bigelow, Iron Mountain, Mich; Harry Bigelow, Iron Mountain, Mich., Ed Bigelow, Oconto Falls; thirty-seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two brothers, Paul Tappa, Kempster; George Tappa, Stiles.
