The McCartney Family Home Page

The McCartney family tree (at least this branch) includes research into the families of Chapman, Maxwell, McDougal, Lowther, Stout, O'Neal, Hopper, and Long, amongst others.The families have resided mostly in the areas of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
So far, the research me and my family has done shows an Andrew McCartney who arrived in Pennsylvania in the mid 1700's from Scotland.We have also traced back to a William McDougal who arrived in Virginia in 1762 from Scotland.The Stouts have been tranced back to an Abner Stout who married Rebecca Ireland in Brushy Creek, WV, in 1804.
