She was born 30 May 1908 in Churchville, Warren Co., Iowa, and died 09 October 2000 in Winterset, Madison Co., Iowa.

Obituary--Harley Edward McClure, son of Edward and Nellie McClure, was born 1 Jan. 1903, near St. Charles and died near his home Jan 21, 1960, at the age of 57 years and 21 days. He was the youngest in a family of five children and had lived his entire life in the area community. He was baptaized and united with the Ohip Baptist church where he continued his membership. Mr. McClure is survived by his wife, the former Frances Armstrong to whom he was united in marriage on June 26. 1926; 5 children, SFC Boyd E of Fort Deavons, Mass, Dale and Harold of St. Charles, Ted of Des Moines, and David at home; four grandchildren, two brothers, Frank of New Virginia and Loren of Indianola; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys McCrea of St. Charles and Mrs. Mabel Minard of Truro and many relatives and friends. The funeral was held at the Church of Christ in St. Charles and burial was at the St. Charles cemetary.

Obituary--Eva Frances McClure, 92, died of a heart ailment Oct. 9, 2000, at Winterset Care Center South. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am, Oct 12 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Rev. Bill Branson officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from noon to 8pm, with the family present from 6-8pm. Burial will be at St, Charles Cemetary. Frances McClure was born May 30, 1908 to W.F. and Effie (McDaniel) Armstrong of Churchville. She married Harley McClure on June 23, 1926, in Indianola. As well as being a homemaker, she had been a cook for the Interstate 35 Community School District. Frances was a member of the St. Charles Parish and neighborhood card club. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by five sons, Boyd McClure of Nokesville, Va; Dale McClure of St. Charles, Ia; Harold McClure of Indianola; Ted McClure of Lenexa, Ks; and David McClure of Monroe, Ia; a sister, Harriet Cline of Chillicothe, Mo; a brother, Mike Armstrong of Madras, Ore; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
