Notes for Elizabeth Thomson: Family Lore is that her father may have been the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ireland at the time of her birth; subsequent to her birth he took his family in the middle of the night and fled to Scotland 1999-a check of this resulted in no verification and highly unlikely
the 1881 Census of Britian indicated Eliz (Betsy) was 15 years of age and a flaxweaver born in Blairgowrie; 1881 resided Lower Keithbank (Blairgowrie) Parish of Perth; Census Place: Perth (Rattrey) Scotland
It is rumored (letter of Catherine Maher who was a granddaughter of Elizabeth Thomson Norris) that they emirgrated from Scotland to Maine through the city of Quebec, Canada; that Elizabeth came with Thomas after her husband had been here already
