I am researching Brooks, Covington, Guy, Reeves and Norris of Columbia, Warren, Jefferson Counties, Georgia. The oldest information I have, links the Covington's to Maryland. I am researching McCord, Spiers, Hyatt, Irwin and others. My McCords are the line out of William McCord who died at the massacre at McCord's fort near what is now Chambersburg, PA, through his son John who moved into Bedford County, VA then to Lincoln County, NC, through his son John McCord who married Else(Alice) Hyatt and moved finally into Lincoln County, GA.(Symm H. McCord).
