McCord and Allied Families of Phillips County, Kansas

Updated September 5, 2000

My immediate ancestors all have ties to the small community of Agra, Kansas in Phillips County, Kansas. I have tried to include all the families that are allied; most of the information contained in these pages can be found elsewhere on the internet. Therefore this is more of an attempt to link together genealogical information that is elsewhere available and connecting that to my ancestral lines.

Some of the major lines contained here are: William M. McCord who married Elizabeth Bradley; Jacob Pfautz (Fouts Family B) son of Hans Michael Pfautz (Family A); Devault (Theobald) Kepley; William Paschall (of North Carolina Land Grants);Wilson's from Beverly, Ohio area; and other surnames including McClurg, King, Benton, Bailey, Schmid, Happ/Haap, Keesee, Matteson, Cochenour, McCullough, Smith, and too many others to mention individually here.
Please feel free to e-mail me. Any information or corrections you can add is appreciated. Willing to share information. Most of this information is not my own research. I will try to put you in contact with the original researcher. I would like to thank all that have helped me, some without knowing it. Especially the McCord Family Association and the wonderful people there; Pam Spooner, Ralph Matteson, Freddy Brown, Don McCord, David McCord, James McCord, Naomi McCord, Dana Stearley, Mildred Daley, Carleton & Velma Munyon, Lois Roller, Maureen Stelzner, Helen Graham Silvey, Clarence McDaniel, the tireless work done by Eunice Losey, Martha Rose and others in compiling the Agra Centennial Book...(I have permission to put this valuable work on-line and will be doing so, I am working on the index now); Ed Gaines, and many, many others. I am sure that I have left names out. This is not intentional. This site is definitely under construction so you may want to check back every once in a while. Thanks and God Bless.
