recorded as giving 1716 and 1720 as birth years. Evidence, based on
date on Grandparents' mar., possible birthdate of Father, and John
Michael as first sons throughout this Pfautz family -- plus
circumstantial evidence that John Jacob Knutz was Jacob's
father-in-law--Kuntz came from Lower Neckar Valley also, on same ship
as the Pfautz in 1727, moved to Digges' Choice (now York-Adams Co., Pa.)
at same time that Jacob Pfautz located nearby, ca 1741-2 -- suggests
that Jacob belongs here in Family Order.)"

Co. N. C., 1791, buring land of Deward Fouts (see below) adjacent to
Michael (his brother), joined by brother David there 1798. Both left
1802. Son George joined Fouts of Deward line in New River waters of
Wilkes (now Ashe( Co., N. C.,, ca 1798, but went back to Maryland ca
1801. By 1820 Family was in Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, and
Tennessee. Children: 1, 7 sons. Frederick married Epicopalian. Baptised
his first two children Lutheran, became a Dunker before the Revolution."
